Feature Request:

Gmail currently doesn't send updates via IMAP when a message is marked as read, thus not updating the Gmail Growl counter in the systray. Currently I have to right-click and "Check Now" once I've read an email or wait for polling to go off. Would it be possible to customize the left-click button to "Check Now" instead of "Show Me Again"?

@Tashfeen: I will have a look at this. It shouldn't be too hard to do, but it might take some time.

Hey, love this app! I was wondering: is there any way to remove the green pulsing of the task bar button when it is checking for new mail? I keep on thinking it's telling me I have new mail.

Today I'm getting a lot of errors about bad credentials. And then I got this error dialog:

Line 16188 (File:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Markus Mohnen\Gmail Growl\gmailgrowlworker.exe"):

Error: Array variable subscript badly formatted.

I get "Google rejects credentials #1!" messages several times a week while my internet connection is working and eventually it goes back to working. What's really annoying is that it flashes this message several times. I only need to see it once, and really not at all. (You can leave out the !)

Hello: Likewise to rvincenzo's post: I've "donated" to you by using your referral link to dropbox; but I'm uncertain how or when I get the donators code. There doesn't seem to be a place to e-mail you directly on the site, please let me know how to proceed.

Hi Eddy, I'm sorry but my drop box account just reached the maximum bonus space possible from referrals.

Is there any way to turn off logging in v2.4? I filed a bug report, but there were no updates. I have over 2GB (GB!! Of text!) of log files in my AppData directory that I don't need or want. I can manually remove these files, but it would be nice if I could turn off logging until I needed it.

I understand that you'd like a bit back for your effort but seriously, the amount this software asks for donations is more than I get email.

The donation nags make this application horrible. Maybe a nag once a month or even once a week would be reasonable, but this is just ridiculous. Please consider reducing the amount of donation nags, it's totally excessive and this would otherwise be a great app.

Great software. I am a registered user. I see the message "gmail rejects credentials!" frequently. Real mail notifications seem to work fine, so it doesn't seem to be affecting functionality. I just want to turn off that message. Sometimes after I've been away from the computer for an hour or so, my screen will be full of those "gmail rejects credentials!" messages.
Please help. GMail Growl 2.4.0.0

for those getting "gmail rejects credentials" you need to access -account settings- , -Authorizing applications & sites- , -edit- then -Step 1 of 2: Generate new application-specific password- and use that password to verify the credentials. Then it should work with no problems.

Hi there, I donated in the past and am now getting:
Line 15503 (File ".....gmailgrowlworker.exe"):
Error: subscript used with non-array variable."
Any ideas why, I haven't changed the OS, had to reformat because of malware problem that kept getting rid of start menu & shortcuts.
Thanks.

I donated to you, but am unsure when I get a code.

Hi Mark,
I am really sorry for this. There seems to be an error in the server handling the Paypal requests. I will fix this tonight.
Markus
